Over the weekend we came across a project by Alex Roman which we must have watched half a dozen times already. The Third & The Seventh is a film that explores architecture through a cinematic lens, however this film is created using cgi. The skill and talent that has gone into making this film is brilliant but what really struck us was the composition, lighting and depth of field of each individual shot, these things a long with the music are what make this short film a must see.

The 30 year old filmographer, Virgilio Villores has some of the best film/motion work we have seen in months. He has some really nice ideas and amazing stop motion projects which seem to be all the rage at the moment. Oh and he has a really nice website as well. Well worth checking out his work.

Cassiano Prado has an incredible background and its so nice to see so much success when someone puts in the effort. Cassiano Prado was born in São Paulo, Brazil, where he graduated in Social Communication. Cassiano started work at Brazilian studio Lobo, in 1998, as part of the motion design team. In 2002 he relocated to London and worked as a motion designer and art director for studios such as Passion Pictures, Nexus, Intro and Mtv. Ruud Baan has an incredible portfolio of work from which he has built up since graduating from the Royal Academy of the Arts in 2008. Ruud has a really impressive client list including some big names, coca cola, sony, vodafone, nike and elle, to name a few. Ruuds work isn’t stuck down to one genre, instead he has worked across sport, fashion, portrait, editorial and has even a bit of film.

Mike Piscitelli is one of the best photographers we have shown here on brick and he has a remarkable background to go with it. “Spawned from the San Fernando Valley, Mike Piscitelli dropped out of ninth grade to pursue skateboarding, hardcore music and teenage girls. He ended up working as an assistant on porn films, which spurred his interest in photography and film.” Seriously, this guy is a genius.

Chris Searl is a brilliant photographer who has worked with some the biggest companies out there, Levis, Mooks, Mambo, Sony Music, Bonds, Stussy and so on. Chris also works with film and has produced 3 commercials for Nike. Chris is also co-editor and photographer of the magazine Monster Children, which looks like an incredible magazine, you should probably check that out. We are loving Chris’ work, he is an inspiration.
