Every now and then we come across an artist and wonder why we don’t know of them. Jules Julien has an impressive client list and been part of a number of exhibitions, namely his solo show coming up in Zurich on the 25th February which runs till 12th March. Jules’ work is clean yet incredibly clever and how he can make an illustration so in-depth using very colour is brilliant.

These paintings of specific animals by Ryan Mclennan are really quite something. The surreal, abstract look to these images are really unique. The images are so intricate and the way they are interacting with the rest of the scene is really nice. Ryan has some really nice ideas and a great imagination which he is able to visually show throughout these great paintings.

“I have been a maker of objects and images for as long as I can remember. Obsessive creation keeps me going. Having recently completed my MFA in Drawing at Kendall College of Art and Design, my current focus has been on gouache and graphite drawings on paper. I find utmost joy in experimenting in all things, whether I am combining images in a drawing, making creatures out of sculpey clay, giving a buzz cut to my cats, or cooking enormous pots of soup”

Scott Pollard has a really nice portfolio full of his amazing illustrations. Scott has a great style reminding me of the old school Mario games. His style is exciting and joyful and mixes between traditional pencil and paper drawing to modern digital illustrations. Some really nice work here.

Donny Nguyen is incredibly talented with his illustrations. There is something about illustrations that are drawn in a sketch book, they seem more personal and for some reason you can connect with the artist more. Donny, who currently lives in Toronto has a great style and manages to change it when needed. Some really beautiful work.

“Eamo Donnelly is an Australian based illustrator who is best known for his intricately hand inked, character driven illustrations, infused with an eclectically dynamic colour palette. His love affair for Australian eighties nostalgia prompted him to create works that reflected the beauty and uniqueness of the culture he grew up in.”

Daniel Brereton has a lovely style in which he creates these weird and wonderful illustrations. We really love how Daniel has presented his work on his portfolio, it’s a lot more fun than the usual website we see. Daniels style is really unique, sort of childish but more fun and it certainly brightened up our day. I think this style would appeal to anyone.
