35 year old Anna Schwalbe has a lovely body of work consisting of some really beautiful images. Anne manages to make her photographs really beautiful even though sometimes her work is a photograph of texture or even just a flower. The tones and exposure are just right and she really does make her work stand out from most other peoples work. Anne has been publicised a number of times and had over a dozen exhibitions and once you see her work you will understand why.

These intricate illustrations are by the Scottish designer Johanna Basford, who since graduating from Art School in Dundee in 2006 with a degree in printed textiles has set up her own studio in Scotland. Johanna has carried on with her black and white floral inspired style and has ended up working with some great clients and producing some incredible pieces of work.

Horses with messed up bodies and multiple heads is always a good thing, there is also a lot of other well produced work by Bruce Wilhelm as well as a few exhibitions which have happened this year.

The Berlin/Melbourne based photographer Briony Ridley has a sublime range of photography. Her work, which is mostly portraiture, although she dabbles in a bit of landscape, is beautifully composed and the ideas behind each image come bursting out through its visual aesthetic. The work is clean and sharp and couldn’t be captured in a better way.

In our opinion, one of the best illustrators we have seen recently is Jorn Kaspuhl. His work is so detailed and his imagination is weird that both of these things combined produce brilliant pieces of work. A lovely modern illustrative style has helped Jorn Kaspuhl work with some great people and have solo exhibitions like his current one in Barcelona, Spain.
